A few photos from home for E (III)

I met Paige, the new dog-walker today, and she's awesome. She said and did all the right things, and even had Gus doing tricks for her. You would have been proud. Until, at least, Gus peed all over my leg, then peed all over the floor when I started to protest.

A few more photos for you:

1. A photo of the boy for you after he went foraging in the couch cushions. He is so proud of himself.

2. Lu, on the other hand, is not at all amused.

3. Oh, idiot dogs.

4. The sweet Pete has been enjoying a quiet resting spot in the basement.

5. Look who is standing on her own four legs! (Remind me to go to Ikea next time.  Or perhaps anyhow...)

A few photos from home for E (II)

Still more photos of the animals for you.  I really must find something more interesting to send along...

My oh-so-pretty birthday flowers.  Thank you again!

The garden cat has been enjoying them as well:

Speaking of things the garden cat enjoys, she spends far too much time in or under the Christmas tree.  Idiot cat.  But, she has not bitten me in several days, so I can't be too hard on her.
We are back to our usual sleeping arrangement.  Even though you aren't here, the dogs insist on sleeping in the middle of the bed.  We are crowded, but nice and warm, and there is something so soothing about their little snores that keeps me from absolutely wanting to strangle them as they try to push me off the bed in their sleep.

Is your fancy frou-frou resort serving you drinks with umbrellas in them?  Do they have little flags you raise to summon your beach-waiter?

A few photos from home for E (I)

A few photos of adorableness for E who is so far from home:

An oldie, but still fun.  Crazed lap-dog Lu.  Nothing has changed.

Night-time Lu and Gus have been taking full advantage of your absence and sleeping at shoulder-level on either side of me.  Lulu is enjoying my Christmas pillow too much.  Tonight, I will reclaim said pillow.  I will give Lulu yours instead.

Took the pups out for a bit of fetch this morning.  Lulu did her normal thing...

...but after maybe 20 throws, was completely done with the whole thing.

Gus did his typical thing, too - ignoring the ball for the most part, unless I chased it with him.  We both got a bit of a workout.  Then this happened:

It was pretty much just the once, still, I'd like to believe he's getting the hang of it.

Then, after taking the car in there was time for a little Gus-snuggling before heading out to dinner.  Such a ridiculous beastie.

Hope you are kicking some rugby ass, husband!
