Babycakes gets a taste of delicious (?) cereal

The first meal was a success, if a messy one.

"What is this?  What is this marvelousness?"
"One spoon?  Insufficient!  I must cram this into my mouth with my hands at the same time!"

Dymonds and Siegels and Lands, oh my

It's been a big week or two for family visits. I am also very pleased to report June's hair is coming back with a vengeance, but her teeth are still taking their sweet time. That's just as well, as I suspect several of us would be missing fingers. Babycakes has also started petting the dogs, first Orc (a good starter pet), then the Guster, who bore it with uncharacteristic quiet and relaxed patience.

Mik has found a baby to squeeze that won't cry on first contact.  (Lydia at 8 weeks.)

A new favorite: "flying." This is best after meals when June can yak up her semi-digested food all over our faces.
Her new favorite position.  All attempts to roll over have been replaced by a desperate wish to sit up.

Happy Labor Day to us!

An extra day to hang out with babycakes, much of which was spent on the kitchen floor.
