When garden cats attack

Somehow this cat cannot keep away from the baby.  We come home, both cats are sleeping in the cosleeper.  We walk into the baby's room two minutes later, Garden Cat is sleeping in the crib.  We walk downstairs, Garden Cat is waiting for us on the couch, ready to jump onto the baby's head.  It's not that the Garden Cat has suddenly realized her heart is two sizes too small; she hasn't.  It's apparently just something about the babycakes that transforms the Garden Cat into an approximation of a loving animal.
Caught in the act, Garden Cat!

So fine, that might be Pete.  They're both jerks.

That would be the baby crowded into the very corner of the crib.  Nice job, jerk cat.

The return of grandma and gramp!

Looking forward to the return of grandma and gramp next week after a summer away in the Adirondacks. Time for catching up on giant baby squishes. Here is a photo of the very first giant baby squish with grandma in anticipation of all those to come.

Baby pattern baldness

She looks a little ridiculous. No hair on top, a little still high up in the back, and a definite mullet making itself known. Hopefully this will not be her go-to look in the future.

Daycare update

Courtesy of the amazing Miss T. at daycare. Miss T's daughter is a big fan of the Junebug and usually makes a beeline for her when we arrive.

Last of the catching up: in which Grandpa (really?) squishes a baby and makes her laugh, and Mikayla squishes a baby and makes her cry

Dad and the baby bounced around the room very happily, watching TV, checking out old posters, and critiquing Beatles albums.  Mikayla, sitting so adorably at the table, has not yet picked up the happy-baby-bouncing technique, but we'll work on her.

And with that, we are finally posting in real time, baby.  (Or rather, here is another opportunity to fall behind for a few months.)

Nearly caught up: Brunching baby!

No mocking the baby so early in the morning!

Actually, this is probably in the evening.  E really gets his mock on in the evening.

This deserves to stand alone

Catching up 97: "All about me"

Daycare asked for an "All About Me" poster for Juniper that will hang over her crib. I think I nailed it.

The front.

The back.
It seemed a little depressing the part the baby could actually see would be blank, so I took matters into my own hands.  My favorite thing about this is everyone seems to have a distinct favorite; however, everyone seems to agree on the fact that this is a little creepy.  They have not yet hung it up at daycare, nearly a month later...
